Let's go!

Floating covers are most cost-effective option

They are simple to install and can be retro-fitted to existing lagoons and tanks. Covering the lagoon helps stops odours that could cause problems if close to residential areas or nearby villages and towns; acts as a barrier from any unwanted debris, i.e. bird droppings, leaves, dirt; this stops the contamination of the liquid, help prevent evaporation and growth of algae and unwanted organisms and also insulate.

With access to a modular float system utilising TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin) we can deliver standalone odour control covers, or an insulated system where a heat retention capability is required.

Benefits of our Floating Cover System

  • Good thermal insulation properties
  • Simple low maintenance design
  • Allows rain & snow melt to pass through system
  • Resists wind uplift forces
  • Good odour control
  • Converts to bio-gas collector system
  • Systems for potable water and effluents
  • Installation
  • Simple low-maintenance design
  • Excellent performance characteristics
  • Wind-lift resistance
  • Precipitation drains through system
  • Are made from corrosion-resistant, LDPE  or DWI PP membrane

With over 20 years of experience. We recognise that the requirements of each individual lagoon are different and how the use of the lagoon differs from location to location. Our floating covers are designed with the principals of simplicity and practicality to ensure the lagoon can be used as effectively as possible.

The system comprises of a series of bespoke modules which are interconnected to form a large covered area. The modules can either be installed to an empty lagoon, or interconnected and “floated” into position on an existing filled lagoon.

The system incorporates a network of anchors that allow the cover to rise & fall with the lagoon levels whilst resisting wind uplift forces.

The system provides good thermal retention properties and requires no electro-mechanical components.

An optional gas collector membrane can be installed should anaerobic digestion be considered which incorporates a network of gas collector pipes to harvest biogas production.

WLS provide highly qualified technicians to assist and supervise project installations throughout UK and Europe.
